System Requirements
To participate in our programs, students must have a computer system that meets the following requirements:
Windows Systems:
- Multicore Intel or AMD processor with 64-bit support; CPU speed of 2.0 GHz or more
- Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit) version 21H2 or later
- 8 GB RAM (16 GB or more recommended)
Note on RAM: Less RAM will result in students experiencing increased frustration levels due to longer load times and the inability to have numerous programs and software running concurrently especially with regard to any graphics editing programs.
- 20 GB of available hard-disk space (100 GB recommended); additional free space required for installation (cannot install on removable flash storage devices)
- GPU with DirectX 12 support; 1.5 GB of GPU memory (4 GB recommended for 4K displays, GPUs must be less than seven years old)
- Video display as follows:
- Minimum screen resolution of 1280x800 display at 100% (1920x1080 display or greater recommended)
- Java Runtime Environment and QuickTime software
- Headset with microphone to participate in LIVE classroom sessions (recommended)
- External Hard Drive (recommended)
- High-speed internet connection
Mac Systems:
- Multicore Intel or Apple Silicon processor with 64-bit support; CPU speed of 2.0 GHz or more
- MacOS version 11 (Big Sur) or MacOS version 13.5.1 (Ventura)
- 8 GB RAM (16 GB or more recommended)

- 20 GB of available hard-disk space (100 GB recommended); additional free space required for installation (cannot install on a volume that uses a case-sensitive file system or on removable flash storage devices)
- GPU with Metal support; 1.5 GB of GPU memory (4 GB recommended for 4K displays)
- Video display as follows:
- Minimum screen resolution of 1280x800 display at 100% (1920x1080 display or greater recommended)
- Java Runtime Environment and QuickTime software
- Headset with microphone to participate in LIVE classroom sessions (recommended)
